We are very happy to annouce that Energy Innovation is now able to conduct GWO Blade repair training in Egersund - South West Norway, - both for norwegian customers and the international market. The courses will be conducted in english in our brand new blade repair work shop at Egersund Energy Hub.

The need for skilled blade technicians are growing fast, as the awareness of the profitability of having good control over the status of the blades perfomance is growing. Did you know that a low to moderate leading edge damage on the blades will reduce the power production with up to 4 % - and even worse for more sever damages? For a 3 GW Offshore Wind Farm a 4 % loss will give a loss of power for a sales price (in Norway - where the power price is low) of approx. 220 MNOK/year!!

The GWO Blade repair train-the-trainer program was conducted in collaboaration with UK based Renewable Strategy, with the very experienced dansih blade repair expert Orla Sørensen. The audit was provdided by Uwe Geiling from Germany, on behalf of Bureau Veritas.

During the audit also GWO Sea Survival, GWO Advanced Rescue and GWO Enhanced First Aid was approved. These new courses will be opened for training as soon as the formal paper work and registration is done by Global Wind Organisation,  hopefully in just a couple of weeks.
